Temple Beth Tikvah offers a variety of worship opportunities for all ages. Our services are welcoming and uplifting, spiritual and thought-provoking. Our prayer book offers transliteration for those who do not read Hebrew and alternative readings to provide an individualized worship experience along with the communal prayer experience. While children are welcome at all services, there are some that are geared more towards those who are younger.
1st Friday (6:30 PM) – Family Service with Jr. and Teen Choirs. This service is led by our religious school children who are in choir. Cantor Michael Avdee leads the choir in songs. Rabbi often asks the children and the audience questions based on the weekly Torah portion in a “talk show” format. Those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries are also called up for a special blessing.
2nd Friday (7:30 PM) – Regular Shabbat service This traditional service features Cantor Avdee leading the prayers and a sermon by Rabbi.
3rd Friday (7:30 PM) – Kol Tikvah Choir service. This service features participation by our all-volunteer adult choir and their beautiful music. Cantor Michael Avdee leads the Kol Tikvah Choir. Rabbi offers a traditional sermon.
3rd Friday (5:30 PM) – Tot Shabbat service See calendar for dates Families with young children celebrate Shabbat together at TBT’s Tot Shabbat. Tots sing, clap, and dance with their parents while learning Shabbat prayers, songs and stories. It is a joy to introduce the little ones to the meaning and celebration of Shabbat! Rabbi conducts the service.
4th Friday (7:30 PM) – Musical Shabbat service. At this service you can clap your hands, tap your feet, and shake our shaker eggs. Featuring several vocalists, guitars, piano, drums and at times other instruments as well, this uplifting service will “rock” your heart and soul. No need for prayer books as the words are displayed upon our state-of-the-art video screen with visually-inspiring pictures. Rabbi and Cantor Avdee conduct the service.

Saturday Morning Service (10:00 AM) – This traditional service is conducted mostly in Hebrew and includes the traditional Torah and Haftarah readings. Rabbi and Cantor Avdee conduct the service.
High Holy Days – our services for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are traditional yet uplifting and inspiring. Featuring our Kol Tikvah Choir and Cantor Avdee, classical melodies are woven through all the prayers. Rabbi offers sermons at all High Holy Day Services. While most services are held at a local Mormon Church, we do return to the Temple on Yom Kippur afternoon. Click here to download this year’s Handbook of information.
