Our Shabbat and holiday services are enhanced by the participation of our choir.
We would love to have you join us!
Junior Chaverim – Children’s Choir (Grades K-7)
Our Junior Chaverim participates on the first Friday of the month at our family services, as well as at all holiday services. Their rehearsals are on Wednesdays beginning with dinner (catered by teams of parents) and then 45 minutes of practice. Through this participation, we find that our children are more comfortable with being on the bimah and have a better knowledge of the Shabbat service.
Teen Choir (Grades 8-10)
Our teens participate at family services on the first Friday of the month as well as at holiday services. Teens are challenged with more complicated melodies and harmonies. No knowledge of music-reading is required. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays before Religious School, and choir members enjoy dinner together after their rehearsals (catered by teams of parents). Being a member of teen choir is a great vehicle for participation in Kol Tikvah in the last two years of high school and beyond.
Kol Tikvah – Adult Choir
Our adult choir sings throughout the year on the third Friday of the month. Beautiful melodies, including 4-part harmony selections, enhance our Shabbat worship experience. Kol Tikvah also sings at our High Holy Days services on the first day of Rosh Hashanah and throughout Yom Kippur. You do not need to be able to read music in order to participate. Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. in our sanctuary.
