I have thought about this article a lot. The most predictable thing would be of course to reflect on November and write about what we are thankful for .So I am going to write what I am thankful for. I am thankful for a husband who adores me more than I deserve. I am thankful for two sons and a daughter in-law (with a grand baby on the way) who will pretend that I am the best mom, even when we all know the imperfections that I have. I am thankful for a staff that I work with who come to work with great enthusiasm and put up with a crazy boss. I am thankful for a job that allows me to be a child and get to play each and every day. I am thankful for all the parents and congregants here at T.B.T. who are so kind and gracious in supporting me and this school faithfully, even when we can be slow on the uptake to remember to tell all of you what is going on down here. But most of all I am thankful to the children I teach. I am who I am because of them. I am thankful to God for being here in the first place. But the most life changing thanks goes to all the children who have gone through my classes . These children have taught me to never give up and keep doing my best even when I think my best isn't very good. To wait my turn even when everything inside says I want it now. To try new things even if I am scared, including strange food from different places. To always think of others before myself. Most of all, when it seems that nothing is going right and I can't find the end of the tunnel, know that I am loved in spite of myself for nothing else but being Morah Cook. I have no need to want anything else or to be anywhere else but where I am and for that I am most thankful!
