Happy 2010! As we progress through the year, Neshot Tikvah continues to work on creating a new and more meaningful experience for our members, the congregation, and the community. Yes, there have been bumps in the road, but as with all things in life they are learning experiences that make us better in the long run. Neshot Tikvah has been proud to congratulate our B’nai Mitzvah students and commemorate their achievement with a High Holy Day Prayer Book. We hope you have enjoyed the Onegs on Friday nights, especially the Family Service Oneg. Miriam Van Raalte has worked very hard to provide an opportunity for all of us to celebrate special occasions by contributing to the Oneg. This is a great program and I encourage everyone to remember family members’ birthdays and anniversaries by making a contribution to the Family Service Oneg. A huge thank you to Ann Kantrowitz who makes the tables look beautiful and festive. It was also our pleasure to support the Men’s Club BINGO night by providing desserts. It was an enjoyable evening for all. There are several ladies in our congregation who have been sorely missed in Neshot Tikvah. It is never too late to join. We need your friendship and support. Be on the lookout for a Neshot Tikvah addition to the TBT web site as well as some updates on programs and fundraisers. We look forward to many more exciting new things in the upcoming months. If your child will be attending Jewish summer camp or another Jewish educational experience, don’t forget that we offer a once-in-a-lifetime campership for our children. See elsewhere in this issue of the Scroll for this year’s Campership Application. If you have questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact me.
