Neshot Tikvah has been very busy preparing for the wonderful Shabbat service we prepared and participated in on January 22. It was great to see so many people in attendance and participating. I would like to express my appreciation to Denise Schwartz and Dafna Gutterman who worked so hard preparing the service and making sure everyone had a part. It was a warm and enjoyable service. In addition, Neshot Tikvah is proud to present two new programs recently added to our calendar. On February 17 our own Miriam Van Raalte will lead a tallit making class. This will take place in the social hall from 5:30-7-30 PM. This is a great opportunity to create a special tallit for yourself or someone else. Miriam will also demonstrate how to incorporate family photos on your tallit. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for this class. On June 27, we will have a pajama party! This program will also be a Tikkum Olam (social action) project. Everyone must come in their PJ’s, and the cost for admission will be a new set of pajamas for a child ages baby through teen age. We will be packaging the pajamas with story books or toiletry kits with travel size supplies to be donated to charity. You would be amazed how many children have never owned a brand new pair of pajamas. We will then watch a movie together and have snacks. This will be a time for us to have fun together as well as serve our larger community. We look forward to seeing you at one or both of these upcoming events.
