Now, when you go up the Acacia hill you can see some real action going on as our new school/administration building begins to grow. According to our Construction Supervisor Ron Duchaineau, we will be pouring the rest of the footings on the19th of April. We have had to wait for the ground to dry out from the last rain. The rainy weather we have been having has slowed our progress. The City of Fullerton is also closed on Fridays so we have the inspection on a Monday and pour on a Monday afternoon or Tuesday. The following Tuesday we should be pouring the slab and the steel is scheduled to come in the first week in May! Then you will really be able to see progress!
Last month our contractor had a legal issue with a former partner that threatened his ability to service our project. With the help of our Judge Mitchel Goldberg we are now paying all of the sub-contractors with two-party checks. The new procedure is running very smoothly with Lila making sure we have all of the bills paid on a timely basis and that we have all of our Lien Releases in house before we go onto the next billing cycle. Stan has worked on a spread-sheet with Henry and Mitchel to keep track of our payments.
We understand the inconveniences you must endure during this construction period, especially on a Wednesday when we have our Hebrew School on site and they are spread all over our current facility. Or, on a Friday night or Saturday morning when there is a problem finding a place to park your car. We appreciate your patience and vision to see the reward at the end of the rainbow!
