Every day when we go up the Acacia hill we can see some real action going on as our new school/administration building continues to grow. According to our Construction Supervisor,we will be pouring the concrete for the second floor by the time you get to read this message. The steel is already in for the second deck! We have already started the outside steel to enclose the building. The drywall attaches to the steel uprights for inside and out. The electric and plumbing are scheduled to be worked on by July 1.

Henry and Joe are working together to figure where we stand on our budget. We are still short of our goal. By the time you read this message you will have received a letter stating how much you have pledged and paid to the Project. We are asking if at all possible to keep your payments coming in so we do not have to expend extra dollars for interest to borrow funds.Henry, Lila and Miriam are working on our Honor Walls.Please contact Lila or Miriam and let us know how you want your names listed on the Honor Walls and special designated places throughout the building.

As we have previously stated to you all, we contribute to our community even if we do not choose or use all of its programs. As good citizens we accept this obligation. By ensuring the future of our congregation through adequate financial support, we are doing our utmost to protect our Jewish future and that of our children, as well as generations to come. Those who came before us preserved our Jewish heritage for us. Our obligation is to do the same for our children. This is the why of Project Legacy. Some of you have not yet stepped up with your commitment and there are some who can be adding more to your present commitment. Please make sure your name is listed with ours on our honor walls and throughout the building. It is going to be a wonderful asset for us all when it is completed.
